Just all of my love for Fall in Appalachia in one big piece to wear around your neck and close to your heart.
The mountains were turning yellow. The river was turning this way and that way with red, orange and yellow hues of reflection. I found a stand of Ironweed that knew my name and when I got close enough, the Monarch landed for a split second just to let me know it wanted to stay. I sent it a prayer of good journey and turned around to a southern banded water snake taking the last bit of warmth of the year with her as she buried herself in the moss covered rocks. My heart laid down right where i stood and rested peacefully, forever.
Note to buyer: The reclaiming process is a bit of a long one. Most of the sterling silver I buy is from well used jewelry that isn't being worn anymore or has been broken. I also buy used sterling silverware. I melt it all down and roll it into sheet and wire. This means that I don't have to buy freshly mined silver that is much easier to work with. Reclaimed pieces cost more because of this extra process. In the end, reclaiming metal for my wares is gratifying and worth it to me. I hope you feel the same. With love.
