Royston Ribbon turquoise

Sterling silver - reclaimed

Gold fill accent on the sun

Picture yourself floating down a river. Maybe your best friend is with you, maybe your kid. You look up and see the Osprey that has circled you already today. You know she’s the same because she has this scoop that makes her look determined. She’s a good hunter. Off in the distance is the mountain range that holds those pretty native trout you love so much. You’d go there, but the sun is shining just right and time is a laughing river.

This ring is now my third that I have made called, Laughing River. It’s a song by Greg Brown. If you don’t know this song, please take a few minutes to sit down with some hot tea to listen. This stone is so amazing and so much prettier in person. It’s hard to do that blue justice with photos. It’s pretty in every light.

Just one of the lyrics from the song, Laughing River : So goodbye to the bus. Goodbye to payin dues. Goodbye to the cheers, and goodbye to the booze. Well I’m trading in this old bat for a fishing pole. I’m gonna let the Laughing River flow right into my soul.

Made with love - one of a kind, twisted, bent, set, sawn, etched, fired by my own two hands.

Note to buyer: The reclaiming process is a bit of a long one. Most of the sterling silver I buy is from well used jewelry that isn't being worn anymore or has been broken. I also buy used sterling silverware. I melt it all down and roll it into sheet and wire. This means that I don't have to buy freshly mined silver that is much easier to work with. Reclaimed pieces cost more because of this extra process. In the end, reclaiming metal for my wares is gratifying and worth it to me. I hope you feel the same. With love.
