I believe that a person cannot have too many rings, so I present to you a four hour workshop dedicated to making as many stacker rings as you can make.
Stacker rings are on the simpler side of ring making. You will be using a jewelers saw to make flush cuts in the metal. You will be using an acetylene torch to solder the two ends together. You will shape and texture the ring in the style of your choosing. Make as many as you want in the four hours.
The goal for this class is to walk away knowing a new skill and wearing a completed stacker set that you will be proud of.
You will have the choice to use gold fill and/or sterling silver half round wire in different thicknesses. Material cost will be added at the end of the class and you will pay for the material used via Venmo, ApplePay or Squarespace. *The price of silver fluctuates, but expect to pay anywhere from $9-$15 for silver and $20+ for gold fill PER RING
This workshop is located at my shop in the sweet little town of Walhalla, SC. We are a short walking distance to a coffee shop, restaurants and food trucks, a brewery and cool places to stay a night or two. We are at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains so if you are an outdoor enthusiast, there is plenty to do and see.
What to expect:
You will have your own workstation with your own tools provided by me. The only place that we share is the soldering and hammering station.
I have room to accommodate six to seven students. There are three flex shafts that are placed between each two students for easy access. We use acetylene torches.
Please bring your own mouth/nose protection. I have a good ventilation system when soldering, but having a face mask or respirator is necessary when working with the flex shafts.
Schedule:

There are a few options for Airbnb’s in town. There is camping nearby on the Chattooga River and other great places to call home. Please reach out if you need more info about camping. If you do book an Airbnb, I recommend Walhalla, Mountain Rest, Westminster, Long Creek and Seneca. These are the closest towns to the workshop. There are hotels nearby, just make sure you check drive time to those.
