Disaster Peak Jasper

Sterling silver - reclaimed

Gold fill accent on the sun

The wind was hot like the heat from a river corner on the canyon. Just a hat to shade the brightest part of the day. Feeling stupid for wearing sandals on this hot sand. A glimpse from the corner of my eye told me that the coyote was thirsty and nothing was going to stop her from reaching her watering hole. The lay of the land took me to another planet, but that planet she knows so well. I was lost in my desires and she was found in her pursuit. If she is lonely, I couldn't tell, for her place is here in the vastness of the west and mine is home under the canopy of the woods.

A ring that made me remember my independent days as I built it - riding my motorcycle on desert dirt roads, taking in the lonely as a good thing. Solid as always and with so much character. I LOVE this one.

Note to buyer: The reclaiming process is a bit of a long one. Most of the sterling silver I buy is from well used jewelry that isn't being worn anymore or has been broken. I also buy used sterling silverware. I melt it all down and roll it into sheet and wire. This means that I don't have to buy freshly mined silver that is much easier to work with. Reclaimed pieces cost more because of this extra process. In the end, reclaiming metal for my wares is gratifying and worth it to me. I hope you feel the same. With love.
