Animal tracks are fascinating to me simply because it confirms the animal was there. I don't own a game camera, so seeing tracks gets me excited to know what is sharing the land around me. We have a lot of coyotes in my area - A LOT. I'm fond of them for a couple of reasons: first, they are smart and adaptable. Secondly, they are pretty much a feral dog, and I love dogs. I have come across them during the day, and they were as scared as I was. Hearing them yip and yap in the nighttime is wild to hear, especially when I know they are only feet from my house.
