Scout Collection Trout Lily Necklace

Brass letters
18" sturdy chain - adjustable
Signature piece
This is the mother of all the trout lily pieces I have ever made. I'm very proud of this necklace in so many ways. The pendant is completely hand forged, even the letters. A solid design that should be passed down for generations, if I do say so myself.
Trout lilies are one of the first to bloom in my area. They usually bloom in mid January, which is a sight for sore eyes! For me, when the trout lilies are blooming, the trout in the rivers are hungry. Trout lilies are a wildflower native to North American and their colonies can be 200 to 300 years old. Some information I found online that I think is interesting: The Cherokee used the trout lily to reduce fever, heal wounds even prevent pregnancy. They are also called yellow dogtooth violet.
Made with love - one of a kind, twisted, bent, set, sawn, etched, fired by my own two hands.
